Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation

Functional Training & Rehabilitation with a Certified DNS Practitioner.

DNS is based on developmental kinesiology and the integration of both neurophysiological and biomechanical principles.

If breathing is not normalised, no other movement pattern can be.
— Professor Karel Lewit MD DSc

Insufficient activation of the diaphragm and the pelvic floor during breathing, will lead to inappropriate intra-abdominal pressure, which can disturb stabilisation patterns of the spine.

What to expect

At your first DNS visit, we will:

  • Assess your movement patterns using motion analysis software

  • Perform DNS tests to consider the quality of your movement and ability to stabilise yourself under dynamic load

  • Begin treatment using the Developmental Kinesiology Model
